RETURNS & EXCHANGES

We accept returns and exchanges within 14 days of delivery.

For regular returns, we offer store credit only. We do not offer refunds for regular returns.

Exchanges are subject to availability.

Return Shipping Fee

A ₹250 return shipping fee will be deducted from your store credit.

This fee does not apply if you received a wrong, damaged or faulty item.

CONDITION OF THE ITEM

To be eligible for a return or exchange, the item must be:

  • Unworn and unused

  • Unwashed

  • In its original condition

  • Returned with all original tags attached

  • Free from makeup, deodorant or other stains

  • Free from perfume or other strong scents

  • Free from any signs of wear, alteration or damage

If an item does not meet these conditions, we may reject the return and send the item back to you.

ITEMS WE DO NOT ACCEPT FOR RETURN OR EXCHANGE

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Sale and final-sale items

  • Archive sale and end-of-season sale items

  • Items marked as final sale on the Website

  • Customised or personalised orders

  • Store credit

  • Items that have been worn, washed, altered or damaged

  • Items without their original tags

  • Items with makeup, deodorant or other stains

  • Items with perfume, body odour or other strong scents

All sale orders are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

WRONG, DAMAGED OR FAULTY ITEMS

If you receive a wrong, damaged or faulty item, please email us at hi@politesociety.in within 24 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Photos of the item

  • Photos showing the issue

  • Photos of the packaging, if the package was damaged

Please do not wear, wash or alter the item before contacting us.

Once we review the issue, we will arrange the appropriate solution, which may include a replacement, exchange, store credit or refund.

If a refund is approved, it will be processed within 8–10 business days after we receive and inspect the item.

HOW TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE AN ITEM

1. Submit your request

Go to the “Make a Return/Exchange” page on our Website and log in to your account.

Select the order and the item you want to return or exchange, and tell us why you are returning it.

2. Wait for approval

Our team will review your request.

Please wait for your return to be approved before sending anything back.

3. Courier pickup

Once approved, we will arrange a courier pickup from your address, usually within 2–3 business days.

Please make sure the item is properly packed and ready for pickup.

4. Quality check

Once we receive the item, our team will check its condition.

The return will be approved only if the item meets our return requirements.

5. Store credit

Once your return is approved, your store credit will be issued within 2–3 business days.

The ₹250 return shipping fee will be deducted from your store credit for regular returns.

STORE CREDIT

Store credit:

  • Is valid for 6 months from the date it is issued

  • Cannot be extended after expiry

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash

  • Cannot be transferred to another person

You can use your store credit to place a new order on the Polite Society Website.

If your new order costs more than your store credit, you can pay the difference using another available payment method.

ORDERS PLACED USING STORE CREDIT

Orders placed using store credit cannot be returned or exchanged, unless the item received is wrong, damaged or faulty.

UNAUTHORISED RETURNS

Please do not send an item back to us without first submitting a return request through our Website and receiving approval.

If you send an item without approval, we may refuse the return and you will need to arrange and pay for its collection from our facility.

We are not responsible for items sent to us without an approved return request.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

We currently do not accept returns or exchanges on international orders.

All international orders are final sale.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

If you want to cancel or change an order, please contact us as soon as possible at hi@politesociety.in with your order number.

We may not be able to cancel or change an order once it has been processed or shipped.
